About Jeanne

A celebration of nature, its inhabitants and of life itself: Jeanne’s inspiration comes from life’s simple moments: a panoramic mountain landscape; a crowded sidewalk alongside a busy city street; emerald green water spilling over a white sandy beach. “Capturing life’s elusive moments is a magical process. I hope the end result, on paper, elicits an emotional response or triggers a memory that inspires viewers to observe, appreciate and seek greater knowledge of all the beauty surrounding them.”
Watercolor’s "painted shapes": Throughout the years, Jeanne has developed an obvious comfort and skill with transparent watercolor. Moreover, her medium of choice is surprisingly appropriate to her artistic endeavors. As Jeanne struggles to capture the true essence of her subjects – the medium itself resists replication. Her choice of watercolor further illustrates her insight and effectiveness in capturing the intrinsic properties of the moment.
